The corporate social responsibility of Telefónica
Abstract
Telefónica is a Spanish company in the telecommunications sector that operates globally with brands such as Movistar in Spain and Latin America, O2 in Europe, and Vivo in Brazil. Its economic and business importance and its global presence have led it to become one of the main companies in the telecommunications sector worldwide. Its operations affect not only its workers and users, but also numerous stakeholders, people and entities around the world, reason why we have considered it necessary to put the focus on its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy.
Therefore, through this teaching case we intend to know the CSR policies and measures of this company to determine if we are really facing a responsible business, as the company itself proclaims through its corporate website.
