Las spin-off universitarias como alternativa para la Innovación estratégica de las instituciones universitarias públicas. El caso de DOI ELKARTEA
Abstract
Public institutions, specifically those like the UPV/EHU, can't be oblivious to the characteristics of their surroundings (the general one and specifics of the sector) that determine, without doubt, the probabilities of their value proposition succeeding and that of their triple mission fulfillment. Around the 1990’s, some kind of philosophical, scientific and institutional agreement was reached, regarding the duty of university institutions towards the triple mission: Education (the origin of universities), Investigation (the area with higher influence on the higher education’s current system) and Transference (the combination of strategies and structures for transferring the knowledge generated by universities to the society by different ways.
The Association DOI ELKARTEA is a small spin-off project that was born with the aim of helping the continuous innovation in university education and teaching in general. As its focal point is one of universities’ business activity (the education), the Association DOI ELKARTEA in its 3-years-long life has generated a prominent impact in the decisions of strategic marketing made by the University of the Basque Country from the moment it was born.
