Projeto REPARAR. Reparar casas e vidas com voluntariado e responsabilidade social
Abstract
Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa is one of the oldest and most respected institutions, whose social responsibility is at the core of its existence. Its action focuses on various target groups, such as children and youth, adults, families, ethnic communities, the elderly and other vulnerable individuals.
Several projects have been boosted with the intention of assisting, especially, those who most need. This work focuses on the project REPARAR, which is a voluntary action of solidarity repairs in homes of needy elderly. The initiative already has two editions and has been providing the opportunity for users of the home support service having their homes improved through small corrections made, contributing to a significant increase of life quality of the person, in a perspective of social responsibility.
