Responsabilidad medioambiental de Unilever: creación de la alianza "The Marine Stewardship Council"
Abstract
Unilever is a multinational company founded in 1930 by the merger of several food and cleaning product companies. From its origins, Unilever stood out for its policy of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), in particular for its environmental responsibility.
In this sense, in this case study, we will will carry out a detailed analysis of its environmental CSR policy, by focusing mainly on the alliance that, in 1997, this company established with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to create “The Marine Stewardship Council”, an independent non-profit organization aimed at establishing a standard for sustainable fishing, and a certification and eco labeling program for wild fisheries.
