Abstract

In a world where millions of food suitable for consumption are wasted every year, the purpose of this case study is to analyze the Too Good To Go mobile application, and to understand how works this sustainable business model, a project that allows both consumer or trader, the purchase and resale of food in conditions of consumption, which were not sold or channeled for other purposes, and which would otherwise be wasted. This contributes to a circular economy, which means that the app under study has a positive social impact on the world and the environment - almost effortlessly.

Also in an era where any individual has quick, easy and immediate access to technology – just by having a simple mobile phone - in this study is evaluated the growing importance of digitizing businesses, that aim at sustainable development and attract more and more users, for its practicality and its beneficial consequences for the environment, where the role of the innovative project Too Good To Go will be emphasized.
