Abstract

Association Mutualist Montepio, founded in 1840, is currently the largest mutualist association in Portugal, presenting itself as a secular reference. As an institution that belongs to the social economy, it is concerned with the protection and well-being of people, putting progress at the service not only of its membres but also of the community.

In this way, the aim of this study is to understand how strategic management influences the marketing policies adopted and existing partnerships within the collaborative economy, as well as to assess its accountability and the transparency of the information provided to the several stakeholders. In addition, it is intended to understand the social responsibility strategy that has been used and evaluate how this strategy contributes to the social and sustainable development.
