Abstract

Ecoalf, a business dedicated to sustainable fashion, comes from a disagreement towards the inappropriate use of natural resources from our planet, most of them being produced by industrialized countries. The main goal is to provide a solution to these problems and to show that it is not necessary to exploit what nature gives us, indiscriminately.

In this particular case, we will focus on the “Upcycling The Oceans Tailanda” proyect, which was created by the Ecoalf Foundation, and launched jointly with the Ministry of Tourism of Thailand (TAT) and the PTTGC, since more than 8 millions tons of waste end up into the oceans every year - 60% coming from Asian countries.

Education and awareness creation are key to reach changes in the way measures are being taken. Our ultimate goal is to address raw materials made out of the plastic obtained from the oceans as a mean to create eco-friendly fashion.
