Educar con inclusão e responsabilidade social: o caso do programa de Assistência Estudantil do IFMS
Abstract
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) is a public institution specializing in the provision of professional technical and technological education in different teaching modalities. With campuses in ten municipalities, the IFMS has as a social responsibility action the Student Assistance Policy, offered to low-income students, through technical assistance and payment of financial aid to those who are in situations of social vulnerability. Since the socioeconomic condition is one of the causes of school dropout and the increase of this index can bring social, academic and economic damages to the institution.
This work shows the scenario of the program execution in 2018 at the Campus Coxim and verify the financial impact on the income of the contemplated students, within the framework of a responsible and inclusive education.
